Overview



This Openwater Course starts on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month
Duration: 3 Days

Itinerary

Your ELearning must be completed online prior to the course commencement.
Approximately 6-7 Hours is required to complete ELearning
- Hard Copy manuals can be posted.

Part Time Option  
Day 1 Sat 8.00am - 5.15pm Theory & Pool Practical
Day 2 Sun 8.00am - 5.15pm Theory , Ocean Dives 1&2
Day 3 Sat 8.00am - 5.15pm Ocean Dives 3 & 4

Option 2

Full Time Option  
Day 1 Sat 8.00am - 5.15pm Theory & Pool Practical
Day 2 Sun 8.00am - 5.15pm Theory , Ocean Dives 1&2
Day 3 Mon  8.00am - 5.15pm Ocean Dives 3 & 4

Upgrade Packages

  1. Deluxe upgrade**Pay $100 and receive a Double Boat Dive Voucher with all Gear hire- normally $180 - Save $80
  2. Book your OpenWater ($375) and Advanced Course ($375) at the same time for $700 and Save $50
  3. Purchase the Deluxe Upgrade package ($100) and a Nitrox Course together ($350) for $399** and Save $130

** Deluxe Upgrade Double Boat Dive and / or Nitrox Course upgrades must be completed within 30 days

 

On Completion of the Course you will be a qualified Open Water Scuba Diver.
You are trained to dive to a depth of 18 meters and the certification you receive is recognised World Wide!

 

What else do you need to know?

Fitness to Dive
Please take time to review the Dive Medical Requirements and Fitness to Dive information.
You will need to be able to swim 200 metres and tread water for 10 minutes.

If you are 45 years and older you will need to get a Dive Medical regardless if you have any medical conditions or not.

You will have use of all equipment whilst on course including
Snorkelling gear, wetsuit, buoyancy vest, regulator with alternate air source, dive computer, tanks,  weights and belt are included.

What you need to bring
You need to bring sunscreen, swimmers and a towel, some lunch or pocket money to buy some lunch.

Minimum age to learn to dive
The minimum age is 14 years at this Dive Center. All students under 18 years of age will be required to provide signed parent or guardian consent form. This form is available at the Dive Centre.
Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or adult over the age of 18.
Children between the ages of 12 and 14 years will be trained to dive a depth of 12 meters and will qualify as Junior Open Water Divers.
