Overview

Discover Scuba Take the opportunity to experience the world that is underwater right at your doorstep!

This Scuba Experience includes a theory safety training session with an experienced PADI Instructor before being fitted out with all the equipment you need. Once you feel comfortable with your skills we will then take you down to the ocean where you will complete your very first scuba dive in the beautiful Nelson Bay. This amazing experience will only take about three hours!

Arguably the best shore dives in New South Wales the Halifax/Fly Point Marine reserve offers extensive fish life including, to name just a few, schools of bream, tarwine, mullet, big silver drummer, bullseyes, pineapple fish, giant flathead, blue grouper, wobbiegong and Port Jackson Sharks, bait fish and even visiting striped butterfish.

Strong tidal currents within Port Stephens have created unique and accessible dive sites for both the beginner and the more experienced diver. For the lover of macro  diving (small fishes) the range of invertibrates is the highlights with a great array of nudibranchs can always be located and photographed including seahorse, crabs and southern crayfish.

• All scuba equipment hire, including wetsuit
• If you have selected the Refresher Dive Option, please bring certification card and log book with you.

• Just bring your bathers and towel
• You must be able to swim
• Complete a medical questionnaire
• Be 12 year of age or older

 

Itinerary

Please note that locations and timings are dependent on Tides and weather conditions.

Join one of our experience PADI Instructors for a brief explanation of dive theory and how your equipment works followed by some practical skills application in shallow water.

Once successfully completed, you may be taken on a dive to 12m experiencing the wonderful marine life at our famous Fly Point or Halifax Park dive sites. The experience takes approximately 3 hours.

Cancellation Policy: 
1. All monies are fully refundable if you fail your Dive Medical.  
2. No refund is payable for any other cancellation. 
3. Course fees are transferable when Pro Dive Nelson Bay is notifed 48 hours or more prior to course commencement.
4. All refunds will be less the banks merchant fee's which will be advised at time of refund.

Non English PADI manuals are available at an additional cost. Please advise the store at time of booking as they will need to be ordered in. They do not come in all languages.
